Art Materials

The art materials bag is carefully put together by Teacher and Training Department. The quantity should last your child about a year, with a possible top-up in papers, canvases and drawing media.

The rate of use depends on your child.
We strongly encourage that your child looks after the materials as it is a part of the responsibility of every artist to look after his/her tools. He/she will be taught how to by our teachers.
We do not stop a child from experimentation, and we do expect some small waste as this is the nature of art and creative expression.

We buy the best art material for our prices charged. We do encourage you to compare prices and to write to us if you feel that materials are cheaper sourced elsewhere. We welcome feedback.

Art Bag Return Policy

We will do a conditional partial refund for relatively new art bags, say a child only had less than one term of art lessons with us.
The conditions are:

Extenuating circumstances, such as medical reasons, leading to a change of plans to discontinue art lessons. Up to 70% refund of the value if the materials are in relatively good condition.
Change in school or residence leading to inability to attend. Up to 50% refund of the value if the materials are in relatively good condition.
Kinderart stops teaching at the venue your child is registered with. Up to 70% refund of the value if the materials are in relatively good condition.

Replacement Classes

We teach mostly at kindergartens, pre-schools and learning centres where the hosting guidelines prevent us from giving replacement classes.
We do not refund for classes not attended.

For 2009, recognising that parents are concerned about fees and budgets, we are giving replacement classes for absentees. Because of the guidelines of our partners, we can only conduct such classes at our Kinderart studio downtown at Maxwell Road. We apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result. The replacement classes are held over the school holidays and we would run several sessions. You are invited to select your preferred dates. Replacement classes are special lessons for the children. Age groups, class format and art materials used may be varied as a result to ensure that we deliver consistency across age groups for such classes.

Payment Terms

We collect fees at the beginning of term. Please pay in full directly to us, or to the Kindergartens as the case may be.
