Norma founded KinderArt to promote art education to young students. As a parent, she feels that students can use their time fruitfully in art lessons that teach art history, techniques, materials and medium, as well as learn drawing and painting.
KinderArt curriculum is based on the philosophy of value-learning with structured and unstructured learning. Structured learning helps the student to understand context and theory. Unstructured learning gives the creative edge. Together, they help develop a cultured young person for the future.
All programmes in KinderArt follow the US National Standards for Visual Arts. The US is the world's largest market for visual arts.
(Norma stands with her painting entitled 'Heidelberg - a world worth fighting for.' In front of her is a Grecian ceramic sculpture (1987 from Athens), a limited edition light-filled paperweight (2004 from Sandwich, Massachusetts) and a clay hand sculpture showing the development of humankind (2000 from a studio in Chiengmai). Behind her, her favourite painting from Bali.)
